Why this institute is so unique…
You will leave this institute with all materials you will need to get this job done at your institution.
All attendees are asked to bring with them these items from their college, institution or organization:
- strategic plan
- institutional effectiveness or assessment plan
- plan for the evaluation of general education outcomes
(Don’t worry if you do not have them, you will see and discuss other institutions’ products).
In addition to the above items, please bring 100 business cards (you are going to develop an IE network)
Rules for the speakers…
Speakers are asked to format their information in a way that attendees will have a template or detailed process that will enable them to replicate the process at their institution. Speakers are asked to attend as much of the meeting as possible so attendees can interact with them, ask questions and get more information if desired.
Participants will hear from multiple national speakers but will also spend time working in small groups on critical issues.
Participants will leave this conference with a step-by-step process to implement at their institution. The group interaction will also allow them to make valuable contacts with other professionals in the field and to learn from other conference attendees, what they have tried, what works and doesn’t work.
The purpose of this institute is training, helping faculty and staff get the job done, walking away with useful tools and being empowered to know what needs to be done and doing it.
Participants will receive a USB stick: Program review models, unit review models for administrative and student services areas, sample learning, program and administrative outcomes, forms for prioritizing outcomes, logic models, worksheets, general education examples, developing rubrics, Bloom’s taxonomy, quality indicators, benchmarking processes, and much more.
Note: A printed copy of the conference material can be purchased for an additional fee of $35 per binder (the cost of printing and supplies). The binder fee will be invoiced separately from the conference registration fees.
